Behind the scenes of the starvation trial that gripped PerthIreland’s three largest political parties remain in a tight grouping, according to the latest major opinion poll before Friday’s General election. It shows that support for the Fianna Fail party is at 21% ahead of polling day, only slightly ahead of their coalition partners Fine Gael and the largest opposition party Sinn Fein , who were neck-and-neck at 20%. The Red C-Business Post poll showed support for Fianna Fail unchanged, while Fine Gael had a slide of two percentage points and Sinn Fein gained two. The near dead-locked poll results came on Wednesday as fears over future economic threats took centre stage in the final stretch of the campaign. Taoiseach Simon Harris said he is taking a “project truth” approach to calling out Sinn Fein’s spending pledges as election results on the other side of the Atlantic put Ireland’s economic model into sharp relief. Donald Trump’s presidential election victory in the US has brought heightened concern around what his proposals for corporation tax and tariffs could mean for Ireland . Mr Harris, leader of Fine Gael, has argued Ireland and other EU countries need to prepare for the possibility of trade shocks as he criticised the scale of Sinn Fein’s spending pledges as well as their saving plans. He said: “I think that is irresponsible, I think it is dangerous and I think it is reckless.” He accused Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald of not being able to say what her party was prepared to do in the event of an economic crash, adding that Fine Gael would borrow and stop putting money towards a rainy-day fund. Asked if the party was engaging in “project fear” to dissuade voters against Sinn Fein, Mr Harris said: “I call it ‘project truth’. It’s telling people what’s being discussed right across European capitals.” Ms McDonald told an RTE interview on Wednesday morning that a Sinn Fein government would also be prepared to start borrowing in the event of an economic downturn. Both Mr Harris and Fianna Fail leader Micheal Martin , who were partners in the last coalition government in Ireland, have made clear they will not countenance Sinn Fein as a potential partner in the next administration in Dublin. One day after the only three-way debate featuring the leaders of the main parties, Mr Martin accused Sinn Fein of being “dishonest” about how they will fund their manifesto plans. Speaking in Dublin on Wednesday, he said he is anxious to get clarity on the issue. “I think Sinn Fein have been very dishonest, frankly, in terms of the funds, because if you go through their figures, and this is a matter of fact, not opinion, they’re predicting a surplus of a billion in 2026, a billion in 2027. “Even in 2025, they’re talking about a mini budget, which would mean reducing the surplus that we’re anticipating in 2025. “There’s a legislative obligation now on any new government to put 0.8% of GDP to one side, and into the funds. There’s no way you can do that with a surplus of a billion in 2026 or 2027, and we would argue they would not have enough funds next year either to put into the funds.” He added: “It means they have no room to manoeuvre if things go wrong, if there’s headwinds come externally, or there are shocks internationally, Sinn Fein is not allowing any headroom at all in terms of room to respond or to move it.” Ms McDonald accused the other two parties of conspiring to keep Sinn Fein out of government and prevent change in Ireland. She said the two men were now “indistinguishable” from each other as she claimed they were suffering “acute amnesia” in regard to their records in government. On a visit to Naas fire station in Co Kildare, she said: “To listen to them, you’d imagine they had just arrived on the scene and that they were going to come up with all of these solutions. “They have had ample chances, ample opportunity, to make things better, and they have failed, and in between the two of them I make the case that now we ask for our chance, with our plans, with our team, to demonstrate how change can happen, how your community, your family, yourself, can be supported when the government is actually on your side.” Mr Martin’s and Mr Harris’ coalition partner Roderic O’Gorman, the leader of the Greens , issued a warning to the public over a future government without his party. On Wednesday, he said it is looking likely that Fianna Fail and Fine Gael will be returned to government – but cautioned they may not want the Greens to continue “fighting hard” on policies. He told reporters: “My sense is certainly the mood music from Fianna Fail and Fine Gael is that they’d like an easier life in the next government – and my concern is they use these small populist parties and right-wing independents.” Mr O’Gorman argued that the Greens could continue to provide stability to government at a time when economic shocks may be around the corner. As the Green leader suggested that relying on independents would be unstable, Mr Martin has also argued that “too much fragmentation would lead to incoherence in government”. Reflecting on Tuesday night’s debate, the Fianna Fail leader said the race remained “too close to call” while Mr Harris said it is “all to play for”. The leaders of Ireland’s three main political parties clashed on housing, healthcare and financial management in the last televised debate before Friday’s General Election. The tetchy debate, which was marked by several interruptions, saw the parties set out their stalls in a broadcast that commentators said did little to move the dial before polling day. After the 2020 general election delivered an inconclusive result, Fine Gael and Fianna Fail, two parties forged from opposing sides of Ireland’s Civil War of the 1920s, agreed to set aside almost a century of animosity and share power – with the Greens as a junior partner. From 2016 to 2020, Fianna Fail had supported Fine Gael in power through a confidence-and-supply arrangement from the Opposition benches in the Dail parliament. Sinn Fein won the popular vote in 2020 but a failure to run enough candidates meant it did not secure sufficient seats in the Dail to give it a realistic chance of forming a government.

Tweet Facebook Mail Mysterious flying objects overhead. Concern and confusion. And calls for military intervention. This isn't the plot of "War of the Worlds," but rather the result of numerous unidentified possible drone sightings on the East Coast in recent weeks . The possible drones have been spotted over residential neighborhoods, restricted sites and critical infrastructure. The sightings have put intense pressure on federal agencies to provide more information about the aircraft, as officials have urged calm and emphasised there is no evidence suggesting the sightings pose a security threat. (CNN) "I want to assure the American public that we are on it," Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Sunday on ABC's "This Week." Reported drone activity prompted at least one airport – New York's Stewart International Airport – to temporarily close its runways for about an hour on Friday night. "This has gone too far," said New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Saturday, adding last month she "directed the New York State Intelligence Center to actively investigate drone sightings and coordinate with federal law enforcement to address this issue." Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said he's asking DHS to deploy special detection systems that use 360-degree technology to detect drones. "If the technology exists for a drone to make it up into the sky, there certainly is the technology that can track the craft with precision and determine what the heck is going on," Schumer said Sunday while discussing the technology. The FBI and DHS said in a joint statement Thursday there is "no evidence at this time that the reported drone sightings pose a national security or public safety threat or have a foreign nexus." READ MORE: Four Australians hospitalised after suspected cocktail poisoning in Fiji Despite reassurances from federal officials, local politicians continue to press for more information and resources to investigate the sightings. In Morris County, New Jersey, officials have called for the "federal government to marshal all federal resources at its disposal, including the military, to end the unauthorized flight of drones over our county and other parts of New Jersey." Drones, a broad term for unmanned aerial vehicles, are widely owned across the United States. A total of 791,597 drones are registered with the FAA, nearly evenly divided between commercial and recreational use. They are used in various industries, including photography, agriculture and law enforcement. There remains significant confusion about the exact nature of the sightings and how many are cases of "mistaken identity," as suggested by Mayorkas and White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby. Here's more on what we know and don't know about the reported sightings. Drone sightings have been reported in at least six states: New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Virginia. The sightings began on November 18 near Morris County, New Jersey, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Republican New Jersey Assemblyman Paul Kanitra told CNN's Sara Sidner Friday morning there had been drone sightings every night since then. Unnerved residents have frequently reported seeing drones hovering overhead, sometimes traveling in clusters. Concerns escalated after drones were spotted near the Picatinny Arsenal, a US military research facility, and over President-elect Donald Trump's golf course in Bedminster, according to military officials and state lawmakers. The sightings prompted the FAA to issue temporary flight restrictions over the properties. "Several instances of unidentified drones entering the airspace" were also reported above Naval Weapons Station Earle, a US Navy base south of Middletown, although no direct threats were identified. Democratic Sen. Andy Kim of New Jersey posted videos to his X account showing what appeared to be a cluster of drones over the Round Valley Reservoir Thursday night. But on Saturday, he posted on X most of the aircraft he initially thought were drones, were "almost certainly planes." Representatives from the federal agencies investigating the drones have briefed local officials behind closed doors, stating the drones sometimes appear to fly in a coordinated pattern and can remain in flight for up to six hours, according to Montvale, New Jersey, Mayor Mike Ghassali. New York State Police said Friday afternoon in a post on X they had received "numerous reports of drone sightings over the past 24 hours" and they were investigating the reports. "We have no evidence at this time that any of the reported sightings pose a public safety threat." Hochul announced Sunday that federal authorities are deploying a new "state-of-the-art drone detection system" to the state. She continued to call for the passing of the federal Counter-UAS Authority Security, Safety, and Reauthorisation Act, which she said would "give New York and our peers the authority and resources required to respond to circumstances like we face today." Hochul spoke with Mayorkas twice on Saturday regarding the ongoing drone activity in her state, according to a source familiar with the conversations. Today three are dead and the final five have returned home "It's very unsettling to public safety and security, both here in Fairfield and elsewhere," Republican state Senator Tony Hwang said in a statement Friday. Pennsylvania Govenor Josh Shapiro said his administration is "aware of" reported drone sightings and is taking them seriously. The Democratic governor said Friday evening he directed the Pennsylvania State Police to further investigate the sightings, and police will be flying helicopters to try to "determine where these drones are originating from and what the purpose of these drones are." In Massachusetts, Govenor Maura Healey posted on X Saturday about the "growing number of drone sightings" in her state. She said state police were working alongside "local and federal partners" and urged drone operators to adhere to regulations. Two men were arrested Saturday night on trespassing charges after a drone came "dangerously close" to Logan International Airport in Boston, police said in a statement. And in Virginia, Governor Glenn Youngkin said in a Saturday statement state police and the Department of Emergency Management were coordinating closely with "numerous federal partners" to respond to drone reports. He emphasised the "significant number of national security and critical infrastructure sites" in Virginia. "There's no question that people are seeing drones," Mayorkas told ABC's George Stephanopoulos on Sunday. "And I want to assure the American public that we, in the federal government, have deployed additional resources, personnel, technology to assist the New Jersey State Police in addressing the drone sightings." READ MORE: 'Build to rent' properties promising longer tenancies and more security The FBI and DHS have said they believe most of the drone sightings are cases of "mistaken identity". (AP) What are the aircraft? The FBI and DHS have said they believe most of the drone sightings are cases of "mistaken identity," with members of the public misidentifying small, legally operating manned aircraft as drones. Some of the sightings may also be commercial drones, Mayorkas told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday. "We know of no threat or nefarious activity," Mayorkas said. "If we learn of any cause for concern, we will be transparent in our communication of it." Some of the more recent sightings might be due to copycats flying their drones as the phenomena get more news coverage, former FBI supervisory special agent Tom Adams told CNN Friday. He said there are often innocent explanations for the sightings as well. "I can tell you from my firsthand experience conducting operations for the FBI, as well as investigations into the suspected sighting of drones at critical infrastructure, it was fairly common for planets, crewed aircraft and even low Earth orbit satellites to be misidentified as drones at night," Adams said. At a news briefing on Saturday, an FBI official reiterated the sightings were largely manned aircraft mistaken for drones. The official noted similar flight approach patterns from nearby airports matched the visual sightings reported to tip lines. The FBI official said the tip line has received 5000 tips, but fewer than 100 have led to leads "deemed worthy of further investigative activity." No evidence supporting "large-scale UAS activity" has been found, the official said, using the acronym for "unmanned aircraft system." READ MORE: Officer who shot Lindt Cafe terrorist says he was haunted by harrowing day There's been a "slight overreaction" to the reports, the FBI official said. Still, "we can't ignore the sightings that have been there, and we are concerned about those just as much as anybody else is," the official added. An official with the Department of Defense, however, was less confident about the nature of the sightings. "We don't know if it's malicious, if it is criminal. But I will tell you that it is – it is irresponsible," the official said. "Here on the military side, we are just as frustrated with the irresponsible nature of this activity." The official added highly trained security personnel have reported sightings of drones at Picatinny Arsenal and Naval Weapons Station Earle, both in New Jersey. The points of origin and operators have not been identified, the official said. The Pentagon shut down speculation the drones may originate from a foreign entity or adversary on Wednesday, hours after US Rep. Jeff Van Drew, a New Jersey Republican, told Fox News the drones were from "a mothership" from Iran that is "off the East Coast of the United States of America." "There is not any truth to that," deputy Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh said Wednesday. "There is no Iranian ship off the coast of the United States, and there's no so-called mothership launching drones towards the United States." The FBI is leading the investigation into the sightings alongside the Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, while the US Coast Guard is assessing jurisdictional responses. On Sunday, US Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota said the US government needs to be more transparent about the reported sightings. "One, we need a briefing for the members of the Senate to figure out what's going on here," the Minnesota Democrat said during an appearance on CBS' "Face the Nation." "Two, we need more transparency." Despite federal officials' assurances the drones don't pose a public safety threat, Belleville, New Jersey, Mayor Michael Melham has said he has received guidance police should call the county bomb squad and local fire departments should wear hazmat suits if they encounter a downed drone. "We just don't know what these things are, so we are being cautious," Melham said. READ MORE: Protesters flood Sydney's CBD after antisemitic attacks Declassified spy satellite images reveal centuries-old battle site View Gallery Why shooting at drones may not be the answer In contrast to federal officials' pleas for calm regarding the sightings, Trump has urged the Biden administration to either release any information it has about the mysterious sightings or shoot the drones out of the sky. "Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country. Can this really be happening without our government's knowledge. I don't think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!!!" Trump posted on Truth Social. US Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who sits on the Senate's Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, similarly said Thursday the aircraft "should be shot down, if necessary, because they're flying over sensitive areas." But shooting down unidentified aircraft poses its own problems. Speaking to CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Mayorkas said, "It's not as though anyone can just take down a drone in the sky. That in and of itself would be dangerous." Similarly, a source familiar with the national investigation into the aircraft told CNN shooting them out of the sky would be "beyond risky," posing an unnecessary risk to people on the ground and legal challenges. The source noted the government has various strategies that can be deployed if a drone poses an imminent threat, but so far, the mysterious flights have not been deemed threatening. "Blowing it out of the sky is the last resort," the source said. READ MORE: US city gets first ever tornado warning Who regulates drones? Part of the challenge in monitoring drone activity stems from the fact regulation of the skies is almost entirely under federal jurisdiction, according to the chief executive of a company tracking unauthorised drone flights. "The laws that regulate aircraft are not built to empower police to deal with the drones," Axon CEO Rick Smith told CNN News Central Friday, "so if your local state fair has a drone coming towards it that police believe might be dangerous, right now there's nothing they can do about it." FAA regulations allow operators of recreational drones to fly up to 400 feet above the ground in airspace not controlled by FAA air traffic controllers. The FAA does grant waivers on a case-by-case basis to those wanting to operate drones in more congested airspace or at higher altitudes. Gophers coach P.J. Fleck explains trick play call on game-defining drive in Penn State lossABUJA – A pro-democracy and public interest organization, The Citizens, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to addressing Nigeria’s economic and security challenges through robust measures. Speaking at a press conference in Abuja today, the group commended the Federal Government and the judiciary for their roles in strengthening democracy, particularly through recent rulings on the financial autonomy of local governments. They also lauded the affirmation of the legal status of key anti-corruption institutions, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), and the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU). They, however, expressed strong disapproval of the relentless efforts by certain paid agents to tarnish the reputation of key officers in the current administration. The group commended the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, for his unwavering diligence in service and steadfast loyalty to President Bola Tinubu. In a press release, they stated: “We call on the federal government to consider amending existing laws to address the spread of false information, cyberbullying, and criminal defamation of character through electronic, print, and social media platforms. Such acts pose a serious threat to public peace and must be tackled decisively.” He firmly resisted all offers and courageously led the “2007 Movement” in the House of Representatives, which successfully thwarted the infamous Third Term Agenda. These actions are a testament to his unwavering integrity and impeccable character, the release noted. A man of enviable qualities, he stands out for his good character, refined personality, and exceptional spirit. His contributions to the legislature have earned him a place among the finest lawmakers ever produced by the Nigerian Parliament. While commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his courage and political will to push through the financial autonomy of the Local Governments, they urged him to ensure effective implementation of the policy so that the desired development gets to the grassroots. We make bold to state our readiness as Nigerian Citizens to support Government at all levels to making Nigeria better for us all, the release concluded. Also lending his voice, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of The Citizens, Nnanna Raphael Igbokwe, expressed his dismay at the activities of certain individuals he described as “mercantile agents.” According to Igbokwe, these agents are merely acting out a script handed down by their masters, targeting Femi Gbajabiamila for refusing to bow to pressure aimed at frustrating the passage of the 2022 Electoral Act. Igbokwe noted that these detractors were vehemently opposed to the inclusion of a clear definition of “consensus candidate” in the Act. He alleged that their ultimate goal was to manipulate the process in favor of a weak candidate emerging from the All Progressives Congress (APC). Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on his part reiterated his commitment to upholding democratic principles, emphasizing that the qualifications or disqualifications of any candidate must strictly adhere to the provisions outlined in the Constitution. He stressed that candidates should emerge through transparent and democratic processes, such as party primaries, rather than being imposed by a select few under the pretext of a consensus arrangement. According to him, this approach ensures fairness and respects the will of the people. “Democracy thrives when the people have a voice in determining their leaders, not when decisions are made arbitrarily in the guise of consensus,” Gbajabiamila declared. The press conference, held under the auspices of The Citizen, also had in attendance notable members of its Board of Trustees, including Dr. Ibrahim Olaifa, Hon. Lawal Abubakar, Hon. Matthew Omeghara, and Dr. Elijah Auta.

The national Aussie rider rating for 2024 is a golden 4.82 out of 5 stars, which isn’t bad! But when you look region to region, the results are kind of surprising! While you’d expect Sydney to be pretty far down the list, the most densely populated city actually sits in the top half. So, who’s going home with a pressie from Santa, and who’s finding coal in their stocking? Yikes, it’s not great for Canberra, Melbourne and Perth — you folks need to get your act together! VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Brayden Point scored twice and added two assists, and the Tampa Bay Lightning edged the Vancouver Canucks 4-2 on Sunday. Nikita Kucherov had a goal and two helpers for the Lightning, while Jake Guentzel scored on a power play late in the third period. Captain Quinn Hughes and Kiefer Sherwood found the back of the net for the Canucks. Tampa Bay’s Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 22 of the 24 shots he faced and Kevin Lankinen made 28 saves for Vancouver. Lightning: Kucherov, who returned to the lineup Sunday after missing two games with a lower-body injury, added another potent piece to Tampa’s red-hot power play. The Lightning were 2 for 4 with the man advantage and scored a power-play goal for the sixth straight game. Canucks: Hughes took a stick to the face 55 seconds into the game, missed more than 11 minutes, then returned to open the scoring 16:08 into the first period. It was the 50th goal of the defenseman’s career and extended his points streak to seven games with three goals and 10 assists across the stretch. Tampa took the lead 6:29 into the second when Kucherov sliced a pass to Point at the bottom of the faceoff circle and the Lightning winger blasted it in past Lankinen for his 17th of the season. Kucherov put the visitors on the board just a minute and 49 seconds earlier. Point scored his league-leading 10th power-play goal of the season. He’s one away from becoming the third player to score 100 power-play goals for the Lightning. The Canucks continue a six-game homestand Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues. The Lightning visit the Oilers on Tuesday. Co-chair Bas Eckhout says new executive is 'good on content', but several colleagues set to vote against. The Green/European Free Alliance group in the European Parliament is split over whether to support the next European Commission, it emerged following a meeting in Strasbourg today. The European Parliament will vote at midday on Wednesday to approve the coming EU executive all 26 commissioners with a backroom deal among centrist groups. An absolute majority of the votes cast is required to secure the green light, and abstentions do not count as votes against. The Greens voted for the of Commission President Ursula von der Leyen last July, welcoming her commitments to develop a climate-neutral industrial policy and boost just transition funding. But support for von der Leyen's new commission has now thinned out within the group. “We took a vote, and the outcome was that a small majority of the Green group is going to support the European Commission,” said Greens/EFA Dutch co-chair Bas Eickhout after a meeting on Monday evening in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. “We had a very long discussion, and I think what was very clear is that we all share arguments in favour or against very clearly. On our analysis and our assessment, we have the same conclusions: [the EC is] good on content.” The Greens appreciated the political guidelines put forward by Ursula von der Leyen and her in support of cooperation. “For me, the Greens/EFA group is part of the pro-European majority in the European Parliament, like the platform that I want to continue working with,” von der Leyen said in a press note released the same day. However, pro-environment MEPs also expressed concerns about the composition of the new Commission, which includes Hungary’s Olivér Várhelyi as commissioner for health and animal welfare and Italy’s Raffaele Fitto as executive vice president for cohesion and reforms. The Greens voted against both picks in their hearings. Eickhout said the choice of Fitto as an executive vice president "is a big problem for us”, citing his membership of a radical right-wing party. This could be read as a clear shift rightwards for the Commission, he said, in view of the fact that the right-wing European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) group will vote in favour of the new college. Nonetheless, Green leaders still consider a “four-group majority” in the European Parliament (Europe’s People Party, Socialist and Democrats, Renew Europe, and Green/EFA, without the ECR) to be possible. They believe this majority could pivot the next legislature’s policies toward a pro-environment approach and push forward the green transition. They stated that they want to “work constructively” while “opposing the far right”. “Closing the door now when von der Leyen is trying to build a bridge would make it impossible to build this majority. Whereas now, if we are saying we want again to give it a shot, there is still a possibility,” said German MEP Terry Reintke, who co-chairs the group with Eckhout. On Monday, the Commission the hiring of former co-leader of the Green/EFA Philippe Lamberts as an advisor to President von der Leyen on the transition to a climate-neutral economy. The move was sharply criticised by the right-wing group Patriots for Europe as a naked attempt to co-opt Green votes. Eickhout denied this. “The name of Philippe Lambert has not been mentioned at any time during these two hours,” he said, referring to the lengthy meeting where the decision was made. Sources said discussion between the Green representatives was very intense. “It’s gonna be a mess,” one Green MEP said, leaving the room halfway through the meeting. Eickhout and Reintke did not specify how many members of the group were for and against, but said that several colleagues remained undecided. A Green/EFA source told Euronews that the German delegation (the largest in the group) would vote for the college, while Croatia's Gordan Bosanac, Austria's Thomas Waitz and Lena Schilling would vote against, along with Italians Cristina Guarda, Ignazio Marino, Benedetta Scuderi, and Leoluca Orlando, who previously opposed the election of Ursula von der Leyen. The Greens/EFA group comprises 53 MEPs, and with the vote on the Commission to be cast openly on Wednesday, the split will become evident.

The Department of Financial Services (DFS) has directed banks to adopt advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), to safeguard customers from fraudsters. The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by the Secretary of DFS with representatives from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), public sector banks, private banks, and payment banks. “Banks were directed to adopt advanced technologies, including AI/ML solutions, for real-time detection of mule accounts, training & upskilling bank staff on fraud detection & prevention, greater advocacy & awareness for common citizen for not to fall prey to the fraudsters,” Department of Financial Services in a social media post said. Advertisement At the meeting, the secretary of the Department of Financial Services, emphasised the need for proactive measures to protect citizens’ hard-earned money, and highlighted the importance of leveraging cutting-edge tools and practices to combat these challenges effectively. The secretary also emphasised the importance of spreading awareness among customers about common fraud tactics, urging citizens to stay vigilant and not fall prey to fraudsters. Apart from this, banks were instructed to prioritise the training and upskilling of their staff in fraud detection and prevention. The banks were encouraged to explore MuleHunter.AI, an AI/ML-driven solution developed by the RBI, which offers enhanced capabilities in detecting fraudulent activities and tracking suspicious accounts. Notably, last week, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said that the RBI Innovation Hub is making progress in combating financial fraud by promoting the use of MuleHunter.AI, an advanced artificial intelligence tool. This technology specialises in detecting and flagging mule accounts, which are often exploited for money laundering activities.
